About Us:
We welcome you to our website and hope to give you a little bit of information and history on our community choir!
 |
Our Group began our mission to spread God’s word through our music and song in 2003. The founder of United in Praise is Karen S. Beard who, through a nudging of God, brought the vision he planted in her heart to life! Karen stated of that first choir, “It just shows that people can unite, no matter what denomination they are.” Choir members were drawn to that first choir because of it's diversity. Karen left this earth to be with the Lord February 24, 2007, losing her battle to Acute Myloid Leukemia, but the victory is what she left behind, United in Praise. |
We are a group of 80+ Christians that come from 30+ different churches and our ages are from 15 to 80! We gather together weekly, praying and praising lifting each other up as well as our community and those around us. We are a non-profit organization that exists solely through donations that have been provided through the grace of God. We as a choir donate all of our love offerings (100%) to local charities in the community in the hope that lives are changed through our ministry. We have a worship experience that you will never forget. The Lord's presence is experienced in our practices and our performances, and the atmosphere is nothing less than contagious!
We hope you will check out our concert dates and come worship with us! We also have photos, as well as a video giving you just a small taste of the love that explodes from this group!
The verse we carry with us is: |
Romans 15.6
"That together you may with united hearts and one voice, praise and glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." |
